The Greatness of God

All throughout scripture we see how great God is left and right. He’s a promise keeper, a Just, Loving, & Holy God. How amazing, right?! But reading throughout scripture we see the stories of Moses, Abraham, Paul, and so many others! We see the greatness of God through each of their stories!!

Have you ever taken the time to think through your story and how evident & faithful Christ has been in each season, circumstance, and journey?

There are so many different circumstances in my life I could name where I couldn’t help but see Gods hand in it. I could give you each characteristic of Christ that has been beyond evident in my life & the reasons and circumstances for each.

If I told you my whole story and the greatness of God connected to each event, circumstance, and age of my life then, well, you'd be reading for a while. So, today, I'm gonna share my testimony. Before my salvation, the moment I came to know Christ as my personal Savior, and since then how that one decision has changed my life.

I grew up in a Christ-centered home where my parents constantly taught us the gospel and the truths of the Word. They desired for us to know Christ for ourselves and own our faith. My salvation or Salvation story has nothing to do with me or even my parents, but everything to do with Christ, Who He is, and what He has done; not just for me but for you as well!!!

Before I got saved I was very sneaky and quite the liar. I’m not proud of those things but it is through our weaknesses that Christ can be glorified. I wasn’t very nice to those around me and was a very jealous girl. I got saved at a young age- eight years old- so I don’t remember a lot of details of my life before then.

The day I got saved, I had been thinking a lot about my actions and attitude. That night, I went to my parents room bawling. It was then that I asked them what it meant to be saved & how much i regretted all of the things i had done that day and every day before. They laid out the whole gospel for me. That night was the greatest night of my life where I made the best decision I could’ve ever made!

It wasn’t until I was in middle school that I took ownership of my faith. I believed Jesus was my Savior, but was I acting like He’s my Lord? I started spending intentional time with Christ. I could tell a big difference in my attitude when i started reading the word, praying, and memorizing scripture because I wanted to!

I definitely still face ups and downs and have experienced many hardships and trials in life, but through it all Christ has been oh so forgiving and gracious. He never leaves and forsakes. Of course I still make many mistakes and have consequences for those because God is a just God. I definitely deserve consequences for my actions.

Time and time again, Christ has been faithful, loving, gracious, merciful, just, omnipotent, omnipresent, and so much more!! I can’t imagine where I would be today if I didn’t know Christ as my personal Savior and Lord.
